We didn't set out to make "fashion." We set out to make the shirt you reach for when you can't be bothered.
Black Market started with a simple observation: the best shirt in anyone's closet is never the sharpest one. It's the one that's soft in all the right places, doesn't ask anything of you, and somehow still gets compliments. That's the shirt we wanted to build a whole brand around — something you could pull on without thinking, and pull off a conversation without trying.
We're not chasing runway trends or overthinking silhouettes. Our shirts are built for the version of you that's horizontal on the couch, running errands in last night's energy, or showing up to something you didn't fully prepare for.
Comfort first, effort optional. If a shirt looks like it took real effort to design, we probably tried too hard — so we don't.
